Ordered from here off of yelp. Everything was very bland but at least not oily. Fried dumplings were soft and too doughy, Singapore noodles had some flavor but also imitation crab, which I found to be very unappetizing and strange. It was not the worst Chinese in the area but very far from the best around.

Been looking for a Chinese restaurant that has Chinese food more the way you used to find it 20 years ago - not greasy, very flavorful, lotsa veggies in the lo mein, not filled with salt or MSG - JUST GOOD FOOD. I finally found it ! I will be back many times. The pork lo mein is perfect.

Had great experience with the sesame chicken combo. It's just what it should be. Why is it so hard to find a decent Chinese place in Wayne? Head for the boarder to Pompton Lakes to find this hole in the wall. I now have a goto for lunch when in in the area.

There is nothing more unappetizing on yelp than a place with zero reviews and no images or a photo (which has finally been modified). One might consider just skipping this place and saying "F$CK it," heat up a couple hot pockets and call it a night. Well, unless you're some sort of hot pocket connoisseur, give Golden Garden a try. This place certainly deserves a review. A picture. A mention in a conversation. It's a diamond in the rough. A ruby in the sand. Yes, it's a small hole-in-the-wall which goes well next to any dumpster. And the menu is practically the same as any other conventional Chinese take-out. So you'd expect the same with the food, right? Well, here's the surprise: it's pretty darn decent. Not just for a take-out place, but for ANY Chinese restaurant in the area. Been ordering for years and I'm still dumbfounded by its edible decency in fast food cuisine. How can this be? But rather than mull over this Chinese take-out mystery, I suggest you check them out for yourself. Think you'll be pleasantly surprised, and at the very least hot pocket free. And that's a good thing.

Not bad, not great, some nights better than others. Portions are large. If you add an egg roll and a coke, it suddenly becomes over $13. Pretty basic stuff.... biggest negative from what I've tried is the hot and sour soup, I'd take a pass if I were you. Singapore Chow Mai Fun is a winner though.

Without a doubt the best fast-food Chinese takeout place in the area. I've tried many different Chinese places, and I normally feel like most of the food is the same. Golden Garden goes the extra mile. I usually order the lunch special of the Chicken or Beef w/ Broccoli or Orange chicken with pork fried rice and the quality of food in general is just simply better than the average Chinese takeout place. I also noticed is that there is always a lot of rice in my order than the other places would provide. Service is generally good and the owner speaks better English than the owners of other Chinese restaurants. What really won me is that I live in Wayne and they deliver to me in spite of the fact that I live 5 miles away! If you're from PL, Wayne, Oakland, Wanaque, Riverdale, or other surrounding areas, give Golden Garden a shot.

Have stopped by here a few times while hiking in Ramapo. Good spot to grab a few lunch specials between hikes to refuel. Generally, I pick up 2 entrees and forage from both leaving the rest for dinner the next day. The pork fried rice tastes good and the actual dish is fresh and tasty as well. Just wish they also gave you an egg roll or soup as other place do for lunch specials. For just a little over 10$ you can get 2 meals (lunch and dinner) if you pick from the lunch special menu. Good value.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
